Ice Thickness Chart

Now that winter is in full swing, you need to remember that frozen lakes and rivers are not ready to be crossed on your snowmobile. In order for a single snowmobile to cross ice safetly the ice will need to be around 5″ thick and 9″ thick for several snowmobiles. Most lakes and rivers will not be ready to be crossed until at least the middle of January.
