Snowmobiler fined in February police chase

Eau Claire (WQOW) – A snowmobiler is fined after he led police on a chase down Main Street in Chippewa Falls. The chase happened in February.

Tim Hatlevig was fined $1,000 recently for drunken snowmobiling and illegally operating a snowmobile on a highway.

Police say Hatlevig ended up crashing into a telephone pole with such force that it broke in half. he was hospitalized after the crash.
